Countdown to Oprah’s last show
As we near The Oprah Winfrey Show’s big finale, news has been swirling that it involves high-profile guest appearances and seven figure advertisement deals.
According to the L.A. Times, two of Oprah’s guests include the president and the first lady. A White House representative confirmed to the newspaper that Barack and Michelle Obama will be in Chicago on April 27 to tape an interview for The Oprah Winfrey Show. The show will air on May 2.
While Oprah prepares for her final episode, advertisers are also getting ready to shell out the big bucks for their lucrative time slots. HollywoodReporter reports that the current price for 30 seconds worth of air time will cost ad buyers a whopping $1 million. Many will even pay more money to have their ads air at the ideal time.
Oprah’s farewell season will come to an end on May 25.
